Bronwyn Carlson FAHA, MAIATSIS is a Professor and the Head of the Department of Critical Indigenous Studies at Macquarie Univeristy and Deputy Director (Indigenous) and Chief Investigator of the Australian Research Council Centre of Excellence for the Elimination of Violence against Women (CEVAW).

Bronwyn leads the Indigenous Pillar and the Violence of Colonialism and Racial Analysis and Anti-Racism Praxis workstreams and leads the Research and Ethics Training Program for CEVAW. Bronwyn has examined Indigenous engagements with digital technologies for over a decade and including technology facilitated violence and is the author of the only text focused on Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander life online,  Indigenous Digital Life: The Practice and Politics of Being Indigenous on Social Media (2021).
