Hana holds a PhD in Politics and International Relations from Monash University, a Master’s degree in International Political Economy from the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE), and a Bachelor’s degree in International Relations from the University of Indonesia. Her doctoral research examined the variation in the diffusion and implementation of policies addressing violence against women across subnational governments in Indonesia. Her current work includes developing frameworks to assess the quality of policies on violence against women and evaluate their impact on institutional responses and service delivery for survivors. Prior to joining academia, Hana built extensive experience as a researcher and policy analyst, working closely with government agencies, international organisations, and civil society groups in Indonesia. Her research interests include policy diffusion and norm contestation, feminist governance, and the role of feminist activists and advocacy networks in shaping policy change to prevent and address violence against women.
