HDR Candidate

Lauren Bellamy is a PhD candidate with the ARC Centre of Excellence for the Elimination of Violence Against Women (CEVAW) at the University of Melbourne.

Lauren graduated with first class honours from an LLB(Hon) degree from QUT in 2022, and has been working in the legal profession since 2019. This experience introduced her to the extent of violence against women in Australia and globally, as well as the state of legal responses to this form of violence. Lauren is passionate about law reform in the area of domestic and family violence and looks to assess the strengths and limitations of legal and systemic responses to violence.
