Sarah Wendt

Chief Investigator

Sarah Wendt is Professor of Social Work at the University of Melbourne, and Chief Investigator of the Australian Research Council Centre of Excellence for the Elimination of Violence against Women (CEVAW).

She is the inaugural Director of the Social Worker Registration Board in South Australia.  Her research focuses on domestic and family violence across diverse contexts such as rural environments. child protection organisations, and religious institutions, as well as strengthen the domestic and family violence workforce.  Her most recent book (2023) is co-authored with Kate Seymour and Kris Natalier, titled Responding to Domestic Violence: Difficult conversation, Routledge, London.
