Tamika Worrell

Associate Investigator

Dr Tamika Worrell is an Associate Investigator with the ARC Centre of Excellence for the Elimination of Violence Against Women (CEVAW).

Dr Tamika Worrell is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Critical Indigenous Studies at Macquarie University, teaching into a range of undergraduate and postgraduate units. She is also the director of research training, where she contributes to the research journeys of the next generation of Indigenous scholars. Her research interests broadly look at the representation of Indigenous perspectives and peoples within education, texts and AI. Dr Worrell’s PhD thesis titled “Prioritising Blak Voices: representing Indigenous perspectives in NSW English Classrooms” was awarded without correction, and received the VC Commendation for Academic Excellence.
