On May 8, we gathered for a moving and powerful webinar to mark the National Day of Awareness for Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women—a day formally recognised in the United States and Canada, but not yet in Australia.

We were honoured to hear from three extraordinary speakers:
– Gwendolyn Packard (National Indigenous Women’s Resource Center, USA)
– Prof Kyllie Cripps (CEVAW Chief Investigator)
– A/Prof Marlene Longbottom (CEVAW Associate Investigator)

They shared deep reflections on the systemic violence facing Indigenous women, and the relentless advocacy of families and communities working to honour those who have been lost.
