Internal Launch of the Women's Safety Index (WSI) and Data Platform
The launch of the Women's Safety Index (WSI) and Data Platform will celebrate the emergence of a new global measure of women's safety and an interactive online data platform. This internal event will introduce the WSI, demonstrate its features, and share insights from its development and application. This session will be led by Professor Jacqui True (CEVAW Director) and Dr Katie Buchhorn (CEVAW Data Scientist), with reflections from Michelle Higelin, Executive Director of ActionAid Australia. We are excited to share this important milestone.
Roundtable: Workstream 3.3 with UNFPA - in Bangkok
CEVAW and UNFPA are proud to be co-hosting a roundtable on engaging men and boys as a strategy to prevent gender-based violence through Workstream 3.3, 'Engaging Perpetrators and Bystanders', led by Professor Patrick O'Leary.
The event, organised by Dr Freya McLachlan and Prof O'Leary and taking place in Bangkok, will bring together experts from across the Indo-Pacific to start a critical discussion about innovation, best practice, and the challenges in intervention and prevention strategies with men.
We are excited to hear from a diverse group on how we can ensure men and boys are part of the narrative in ending gender-based violence across the region.
