Annie Crookes (PhD, MSc) is Discipline Coordinator for Psychology at the University of South Pacific. She has a PhD in cognitive psychology and an MSc in International Addiction Studies. Annie joined USP in 2019 after 15 years leading psychology departments and building professional psychology in Dubai,
UAE. In Fiji she has led several research consultancies in support of national mental health and counselling development. She provides guidance and support to two SME mental health organisations and sits on the National Committee for Suicide Prevention and the Counter Narcotics Committee. She has also served as a board member of the Fiji Psychological Society. Research interests: mental health and well-being in the Pacific context; service and system development in psychology and mental health; the role of positive psychology in mental health support.
