Connie is a lecturer at Griffith University in Planetary Health and Co-Theme Lead for Climate and Disaster Resilient Communities at the Griffith Institute for Human and Environmental Resilience (GIHER). Her research examines how environmental change and disasters affect healthcare systems and at risks communities. She works with partners to assess and strengthen adaptation efforts, support health services during crises, and explore practical pathways to reduce healthcare emissions. By translating climate–health data into decision-ready insights, she aims to support healthcare leaders plan, adapt, and deliver resilient care across diverse settings across Indo-Pacific. She has also consulted the World Health Organization (WHO) Centre for Health Development, contributing to the Health Emergency and Disaster Risk Management (Health EDRM) Knowledge Hub; inaugural cohort of Indo-Pacific Cooperation Network (IPCN) on international disaster response, community-based management and disaster communication.
