Kayla Carrea

HDR Candidate

Kayla Carrea is a PhD candidate with the ARC Centre of Excellence for the Elimination of Violence Against Women (CEVAW) at Monash University.

Kayla holds a Bachelor of Arts (Criminology) and a Master’s degree in Public Policy from Monash University. She has previously worked as a Research Assistant and Professional Staff member at the CEVAW Monash Node. Additionally, she is a co-author of CEVAW’s upcoming publication, Eliminating Violence Against Women: A Handbook for the Indo-Pacific Region.

Currently, Kayla is undertaking her PhD at Monash University, examining the implementation and impacts of the new regulations regarding gender-based violence in Australian higher education institutions.
