Sri Wiyanti Eddyono is an Associate Professor in the Criminal Law Department and the Director of the Law, Gender and Society Research Centre, Faculty of Law, Universitas Gadjah Mada, Yogyakarta, Indonesia. She was the chair of the Task Force for the Prevention and Response to Sexual Violence in Universitas Gadjah Mada (2022-2024). She is the coordinator of the Taskforce for anti-bullying, violence and harassment of the Health Promoting University program in UGM.

She completed her doctorate at Monash University, Australia. She received the Allison Sudrajat Award (ASA) and the Australian Leadership Award (ALA). She specialises in the areas of women’s empowerment, victimology, women’s access to justice, violence against women, and gender equality law and policy reform in Indonesia and Asia contexts. She is also a feminist lawyer, researcher, and women activist. She was in charge of advocacy for the various now-enacted regulations, including the Law on Domestic Violence (2004) and the Law on Sexual Violence in Indonesia (2022). She was also commissioner of the National Commission on Violence Against Women in Indonesia (2007-2009).
