Victoria Scheyer

HDR candidate

Victoria Scheyer is an associated PhD student at the Centre of Excellence for the Elimination of Violence Against Women (CEVAW) at Monash University.

Her Ph.D. in Politics and International Relations focuses on gender dynamics in the transnational far-right in Europe. She holds a Master of Arts in Peace and Conflict Studies from the United Nations-mandated University for Peace in Costa Rica. Her research interest lies in the global backlash against gender equality, especially the rise of far-right extremism. Moreover, her research focuses on transnational feminist movements for peace and conflict and feminist foreign policy. She is a research fellow at Peace Research Institute Frankfurt (PRIF) and previously was co-president of the German section of the Women’s International League for Peace and Freedom (WILPF).
