Casey Cale

HDR Candidate

Casey Cale is a PhD candidate with the ARC Centre of Excellence for the Elimination of Violence Against Women (CEVAW) at The University of Melbourne.

Casey holds a Master’s degree in Criminology and Criminal Justice from Griffith University and has extensive experience both in specialist family violence service provision and as a training facilitator with the Safer Families Centre at the University of Melbourne. She is part of the One Moana Community Action Plan Campaign (OMCAP) with the Village Response Collective, a grassroots campaign to create shared understanding, collective accountability, and culturally grounded solutions for Pasifika communities in Victoria.

Casey’s research will examine the experiences of Samoan women with frontline services and informal support where domestic and family violence and alcohol and other drugs intersect. She will also undertake a case study in the Victorian regional setting.
