Min Kaur

HDR Candidate

Min Kaur (she/her) is a PhD candidate with the ARC Centre of Excellence for the Elimination of Violence Against Women (CEVAW) at Macquarie University.

Min’s doctoral work focuses on queer sacredness and spirit as survivance, a necessary intervention to counter the varied inherent violence(s) within Euro-western academia. Centring their own diasporic experiences and lived realities as a survivor of sexual and GBV, their doctoral project embodies a queer phenomenological approach to examining how processes of diasporic interactions with particular foods as medicine can be a form of queer transformative justice within Euro-western academia.
